OpenTech LA is a Los Angeles county apprenticeship program that seeks to revolutionize workforce development through a series of innovations to shape the regional tech industry into an inclusive, dynamic, and responsive ecosystem. OpenTech LA connects California companies with a skilled and diverse talent pool, opens opportunities in the technology sector for women and underrepresented minorities, and leverages the full potential of public funding programs to maximize returns for all stakeholders.
OpenTech coordinates between employers, training programs and career counselors to support candidates on their path to gain skills and complete on-the-job apprenticeships. For candidates, our program is offered at no fee, training is completed locally, and is the fastest way to a career.
OpenTech LA is part of Managed Career Solutions, a California employment agency, and the American Apprenticeship Initiative, a federal grant program for American workers.
