For just $8.99, individuals can take the Survey and access personalized results, including interactive career exploration tools and goal-setting features. Additional resources are also available, some free and others at a low cost. For schools and organizations interested in using the IndigoPathway platform with advisees, we offer Essential and Premium programs that include administrator dashboards, online courses and trainings, and technical support. Successful completion of the IndigoPathway: Coaching Certification Course allows career advisors to confidently guide career seekers through IndigoPathway.

Data Sharing & Privacy - What do you do with my information?Your email is primarily used for you to login to your IndigoPathway account to view your results, career matches, and resources. Your survey responses will be used to make interpretations of your behaviors and motivators. These interpretations are provided directly to you in your IndigoPathway Results and will also be available to those in your organization who are authorized to see the data or those with whom you choose to share your information. IndigoPathway may also send you informational emails, updates, and events and trainings but will never share your email with third parties. You can review IndigoPathway's full privacy policy at indigopathway.com/data-sharing-and-privacy-policy/. Important Note Indigo Education Company (Indigo or IEC), the legal company name, offers a variety of products including the IndigoPathway survey, IndigoPathway platform, and all other related IndigoPathway resources. Which survey should I take - Student or Adult?Feel free to select the survey that aligns with your current status. Your personalized results will remain unaffected by the survey you choose. Student Survey: Tailored for middle school through high school reading and comprehension levels. Adult Survey: Geared towards post-secondary students and adult career-seekers.

How do I take the IndigoPathway Survey?Watch this short “How to Take the Survey” video for a quick tutorial. First, set aside 10 minutes of uninterrupted time to complete the survey. Second is select toward the edges. To ensure the most accurate results, when answering the questions, be bold with your responses by selecting the “Not at all like me” or “Very much like me” options on the edges versus the options in the middle. If you're somewhere in the middle on a few responses, no pressure. Answer the questions honestly; there are no right or wrong answers. Just be yourself! Quickly and easily create an account and you will be sent directly to your results.

Can I share my results with a family member, mentor, teacher, or school counselor?Absolutely! On your Results Summary page, look for the “Share with Friends'' section. You will find a link to share your results with the career counselors, advisors, teachers, mentors, or family members of your choosing. You also have the option to share your results publicly on select social media platforms.

Can I retake the survey?Yes! Feel free to retake the survey as many times as you'd like. We recommend doing so at significant life junctures, like reaching educational milestones or experiencing major life events or transitions. To retake the survey, simply click on the “Retake Survey” button on the Result History page. To see how you change over time, click on “Result History” in the My Results menu dropdown found in the navigation bar to see past results.

What is DISC?DISC is the most widely used behavioral assessment tool, adopted by organizations around the world to improve self-awareness, teamwork and understand different communication styles. DISC scores reveal a person’s natural behavioral styles - Dominance, Influencing, Steadiness, and Compliance. These are sometimes referred to as Directness, Interactions, Sameness and Consciousness. More information about DISC in general and your specific DISC behaviors can be found in your IndigoPathway Results on the "Your DISC Profile" and "Communication Tips" tabs.

What are Motivators?Motivators are the driving force behind what truly matters to you, fueling passion, excitement, and fulfillment. Motivators will help you figure out which jobs and activities you might be most interested in. A person with a high Theoretical score, for example, will want the opportunity to learn more about most every subject. Most people are happiest when their job fulfills their top two Motivators. Six Motivators correspond to people’s values: Aesthetic - Desire for form, harmony, balance, or beauty Individualistic - Desire for independence, visibility, rank, or power Social - Desire to help others or solve a problem in society Theoretical - Desire to learn for the sake of knowledge Traditional - Driven by strong beliefs and standards Utilitarian - Desire for a return on investment of time, energy or money More information about Motivators in general and your specific Motivators can be found in your IndigoPathway Results on the "What Motivates You" tab.

Tell me more about Reflections & Goal Setting section.The Reflections and Goal Setting tab has personalized questions based on your unique behaviors and Motivators. They are designed to ignite introspection, helping you develop self-awareness and gain fresh perspectives. The Reflection Questions are designed to get you thinking about what you want out of a career and life. Answering these questions will help you narrow down your career options to the most suitable choices for you. Did you know that you’re 90% more likely to achieve your goals if you write them down? The Goal Setting section is the place to record your aspirations and give them the attention they deserve. Here are some tips for creating achievable goals: Set short-term and long-term goals to choose a career and map your pathway. Short-term = daily, weekly, monthly Long-term = 1-5 years Create an Action Plan: Choose one goal to break down into small steps. Timeline: Pick a due date that feels reasonable, but challenging. Resources: Identify the resources needed to complete this Action Step. Accountability: Select an accountability partner. This can be a trusted friend, family member, career coach, high school advisor, or mentor. Connect with that person regularly. Discuss your progress and areas where you need support to stay on track. Communication is key to success!

Where can I find an advisor or mentor to guide me through the process?Great question! We suggest starting with your high school or college counselor. Don’t worry if you are not currently in school! We have other options for you: Job Corps offers free career training and education for young people aged 16-24, with centers nationwide. The U.S. Department of Labor's Job Corps offers hands-on vocational training in industries like healthcare, construction, and technology, along with high school diploma or GED opportunities. Get Schooled - Sign up for Get Schooled's free college and job advising textline! Get Schooled will help you prepare, find financial aid & scholarships, succeed in college, and more. Encourage your advisees to start the process by taking the IndigoPathway Survey. Each tab of the results offers a view into career seekers wants and needs for a career: Motivators Identify the career seeker's top two Motivators and discuss their implications. Brainstorm careers aligned with these Motivators to provide personalized guidance. DISC The DISC behavioral assessment enhances self-awareness and understanding of different communication styles. DISC scores unveil a person's natural behavioral styles—Dominance (Directness), Influencing (Interactions), Steadiness (Sameness), and Compliance (Consciousness)—and help identify ideal work environments. Communication Tips Encourage the advisee to prioritize the Communication Tips that resonate with them.
